Vanguard files Chapter 11?
Oops. UA Premier Executive is not 99.9% but 100% correct. Had meant this to go to the "News" Forum. My bad.

The community of Vanguard flyers on FlyerTalk would undoubtedly beg to differ with you, OZ, as to the appropriateness of this forum, provided that we could find any of them.
How about proposing a get-together to mourn Vanguard's passing? Then it's clearly a relevant thread. 'Course, I can't attend. Sorry.

As the proud owner of 100 pre-split VGDA shares, I take offense to the disparaging remarks about Vanguard...

if you booked with a credit card, call your CC company back.
I've had a few people rebooked, thank god for the charters! Saved a few trips for them.. United and Delta also gave me some advance purchase waivers for some clients stuck mid-trip on Vanguard.

We called the CC. They are doing some "disputed charge" thing, but wouldn't give me a guarantee I would get my $ back. Frontier is more expensive but we can handle that...just not losing the grand to Vanguard also. Frontier won't take a credit towards a ticket.
We are flying out of Kansas City. Is there a cheaper charter?
