Congrats Punki - and all the others who got to 10,000, and largely bypassing OMNI 'counting' threads in doing so.

Thanks, mahasamatman, Kiwi Flyer and Ozstamps.
In truth and in fact, FlyerTalk's contributions to me far outweigh my contributions to FlyerTalk.
Before FlyerTalk, I honestly wasn't much of a traveler. I got status by flying EMBs to and from SEA/PDX once a week. Don't get me wrong, I think that that 30 minute flight at 10,000 feet is probably the most gorgeous in the world, but I most definitely wasn't a very sophisticated traveler.
I remember on our first flight to HNL in 1996, walking by those luscious looking, empty, biz class seats and wondering how I could snag those for us.
That is what got me searching the internet for information when I started planning our trip to Spain in 1998.
Fortunately, over the years, FT has taught me how to become very spoiled, and how to keep my tired old bones exclusively in first or biz. I am, incidentally, posting this from a lovely suite in Las Vegas, also courtesy of my FT-gained knowledge.
So many thanks to all of you who have contributed valuable informtion over the past ten years.
@:-) FWIW, I am still determined to keep my post count under 3 posts a day, so it will undoubtedly be 2018 before I hit 20,000 posts, and 2038 before I become a legend once again.
I wonder if I will live that long.
My goal, if I don't get cancer or get hit by a truck (or airplane), is to make it until 2048.

I have to say - and this may fly in the face of the thinking here is that I value quality more than quantity. I have never read one of your posts without thinking that this is a lady who knows what she is talking about.
I doubt that I will ever make 10,000 posts - but at least I hope that the quality may make up for the lack. I really cannot imagine calling myself an Evangelist - but there are one or two high up the food chain at BA who now take note.

It seems appropriate (to me anyway) that I have achieved 10K post status on April Fools Day. ^ Most days I feel there is no bigger fool on FT. I mean that in the medieval sense of course.

Congratulations, Globaliser, on being raised to Evangelist status today. Clearly this needs to be announced on CommunityBuzz, as a passing mention of this honour on the BA board does not do this justice.
And thank you for the Orkney DO photos.
