Only 5 is that it?

Theres so many people on the Virgin and AmEx boards that I haven't met.

Did make it to the London do in January, which saw more American's present than Uk citizens, go figure!

My five would have to be (in nor particular order):-

-Gaza
-The_Banking_Scot
-Roger
-influential
-dnw

I'd also like to see all the hundreds of people that mail me, but are 'lurkers' and ask them why they don't join in properly on FlyerTalk.

I sincerely hope it takes you a very long time to accomplish that goal!

Appreciative of many of the FTers that I’ve met, and having just met RichG in Toronto and knocked him off my List, it’s fun to ponder:

GHOSTS OF FT PAST

JonToner for stories interweaving travel and family. I hope that our paths cross.

GHOSTS OF FT PRESENT

Blairvanhorn for humor and humanity
Jan_az for decency to all things decent
Chexfan and Village Idiot for indecency to all things indecent
Doc for all things, about everything
Mex1k for being one of the wonderful, and unsung, writers on this Board. I can still imagine you displacing most of the water out of your Kyoto bath.

GHOSTS OF FT FUTURE

Another wit and generous sole will come down the road.

Rudi, I do believe that there are one or two South Africans knocking about here!

I have a feeling that we are talking ourselves into a mass gathering!

From the sound of most of you whoever happens to be looking after your flights should be in for a good time.!

Who's going to be the first to organize their own "Newbie DObie" where all the attendees are folks you've never met, but want to?

Not really a do, but I've never met any of the FTers I am trying to meet on this trip. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Oh, me me me! Very nice title, where can we have it?

I think I have only met 5 FTers and would love to extend that list.
* DC in July?... ughhh 100 degrees and sticky. But I could plan a happy hour soon.
* San Diego in October? I'll be there for work and could add a couple days for a FT event.
* Rome in November? I'm arranging a group trip already, would love to add people to the list.
* Any random city that is CO accessible... I love to set up trips. Can you tell?
* All of the above and more?

How about Regional/International FTer quarterly happy hours? Have a FTer representing each region/country arrange a quarterly meet and greet to welcome newbies and to keep in touch with active FTers.

BTW, chexfan... I love the web site!

I hope everyone is having a great day! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Hmmm. You know, you really ought to stay more sober at these gatherings. I have it on good authority that you've met at least a couple of them already - and I think there are even <shudder> pictures to prove it.

My list, if limited to five, in no particular order would be:

baobab
essxjay
Merry
smooth
and an FTer to be named later

And then, there are all the ones I'd like to meet again, but that wasn't the question.

and of course...Mr. Petersen

Well, 3 out of 5 ain't bad.

There will always be more Seattle FT'ers to meet and Geo is seemingly still a figment of Chexy's imagination ;)

Two out of six. Good average for baseball, but gotta up my percentage to be a FT heavy hitter.
