It's difficult to limit myself to five, and a few obvious suspects would be on my list but for the fact that we've already met. In no particular order, and ignoring the limit:

I would include QuietLion on the list but for my chance discovery last week that we were college classmates XX years ago, and may have already met. Mr. Peterson isn't on my list, because if I were to meet him I would have, I think, the same reaction that a very minor poet had when introduced to (IIRC) T.S. Eliot; he said that when he was shown into the Great Man's presence, he felt rather like an obscure country Nonconformist minister who was unexpectedly given an audience with the Pope.

It seems like I know Empress, but honestly can't remember meeting her/him.

I serendipitously met Mark Rodger a week or so ago. That was pretty cool.

Hey thanks, mosburger, I wasn't aware I was an "old Asia hand." Gonna be back in Tokyo and likely Shanghai and Seoul in mid-September, are any of you folks gonna be around those places during that time? We could have a Mosburger together....
