Interest in Berlin?
Hi alltogether,
I've been reading this forum for quite a while now and I thought, that maybe some of you might be interested in a meeting in Berlin, Germany?
Based on the interest of you, I would be willing to plan this, including sightseeing tours and the like, if this is wanted.
What's your thoughts?
Michael

I, for one may be in Berlin June 21-23rd (waiting for miles to post to QF ... & waiting & waiting). I think Belle3388 was planning on flying in from AMS that weekend.
I'd love to get together with anyother FT'ers at that time, just let me know

Berlin is just a 1 hour flight away and I visit quite often. Would like to join in and could help to plan/organise if desired. End of June sounds okay for a small meeting, but probably to short notice for a BIG event to be planned.

Well, we could plan this for a later time and then make it a bigger event. If we can get enough FTers to show up, we could rent a cruise-ship on the famous Wannsee.
Maybe we should aim for August/September?

Yes, and why not do the Landwehrkanal/Mggelsee tour with some nice bathing in the Mggelsee? I did that once and really loved it. Too bad you can't do that here in HAM.... Weather in Berlin can be quite nice in July and August.

I may be able to make a weekend in mid July. I, though, would like to make a vote for budget options.
I'm telling you,as soon as those d**n student loans are paid off, I'm having a HUGE party - just a few more years.

Boy, the last time I was in Berlin I had to go through Check Point Charlie reading the sign "You are now leaving the American Sector of Berlin". I would love to go back there!! BTW, what's the best way to get there from ORD using UA or AA or their respective alliance partners?

Your best bet from ORD is flying LH/UA to FRA connecting to LH to TXL.
