Just found out I'm headed to PHX today (nothing like a little advance planning by the folks a the home office...). Unfortunately, I my flight doesn't arrive until about 9 tonight.

I think I'm going to have to stay over tomorrow (Sunday) night, though, if anyone's still going to be around.

Well the day started off with a call from missydarlin in Brussels with some other Flyertalkers, apparently the Mojitos caused her to misjudge the time difference but she wished us all well. This promptly reminded me that I better get going and pick up onefreeman and SanDiego1K. We prompty went over to the Hilton, where even on the Priceline rate they gave us upgrades and access to the Executive Lounge ( which was open on the weekend ) WE promptly adjourned there where we were joined by MrandMrsOldGold. After our complimentary drinks and appetizers it was necessary to head to the restaurant or we would be late. Thanks to my infamous non sense of direction, being late was accomplished(even in my own town - geez - I should be the Goddess of Misdirection ) Arrriving at the restaurant we had Transworld One,Mr and Mrs BoulderHyattHopper, terenz,NickyD,GG and LexPassenger awaiting us. A round of margaritias had everyone in a marvelous mood quickly, though no Marittos were available . We were joined by phone by B747 and markbach . OldGold handed out his famous OldGoldluggageTags to those that had not previously received them. After eating and drinking the karoke started and the decision was made to return to Hilton and continue in the bar, where we were joined by the late arriving SuperSlug. AnnaS called to check in and all merrily drank for a few more hours until it seemed appropriate to sleep until this mornings brunch. A great time was had by all, it was a pleasure to see old friends and make new ones

I had a great time in PHX this weekend, renewing acquaintances and making new FT friends. We had the perfect pace, moving from dinner at Chueys, to drinks at the Hilton, to brunch this morning - lots of opportunities to visit with the group and to visit with each individually.

Thanks, Jan_AZ, for organizing this. And B747, we missed both you and Freddie, Jr.

It was worth flying WN in order to attend!

It was with great sadness that I began the evening in Canada wishing I was in Arizona with you guys.

It was with a huge smile on my face that I finally hung up the phone after chatting with y'all.

I'm glad to see that everyone had a blast, and I'm sorry I couldn't make it this time!

Mr.Boulder and I had SUCH a great time! What a great weekend... We have our very prized luggage tags, so many thanks to Mr. and Mrs. OldGold, who are very gracious!

We had a great time at the restaurant talking to TransWorldOne, Terrenz, NickyD and SanDiego1K!

We had a great time at the bar talking to Jan_az, Mr. and Mrs. LexPax, and SanDiego1K.

SuperSlug, it was a blast meeting you and wished we could have stayed awake longer to talk to you! Look forward to seeing you again if you pass through DEN.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for letting us join this very elite group of wonderful people!!!

I was really sorry I didn't make it. I was stuck in a budget meeting trying to figure out how to resolve a $300,000 budget deficit.

**** thing was, on the flight back the next morning, I realized how simple it would be to fix... and no body got laid off : ) (had I wanted to use that approach, it would have been simple, but would have very negative long term implications. My approach will work SO much better : )

Sometimes those friggin meetings just last too darn long. I got to the hotel about 10pm.

I'll make it up to you all. I really wanted to meet everyone. Thanks to Jan for all of her hard work anyway - it sounds like a good, if somewhat "drunken" : ) time was had by all. And SuperSlug, I understand you and I have some common interests, so I really want to meet you as well.

What a wonderful chance to meet and chat with new (to us) flyertalkers!

OldGold (& Kathy), the luggage tags are great! What a bribe....

Jan, thanks for putting it all together.

SD1K & onefreeman, prior friends well met. TW1, terenz, Boulderses, Nicky, SuperSlug: we really enjoyed meeting you guys. Great conversations, especially the varying opinions about the Freedies...

We're looking forward much to another, and also to meeting 437 some day.
