Paris This Weekend May 3-6
I made up my mind about this weekend's plans. Monday is a bank holiday in the UK so I have a 3 day weekend. I got cheap tickets on easyjet and will be in Paris this weekend. Any FlyerTalkers care to meet for drinks, dinner, etc.? I decided that I really didn't want to tour Paris alone so I called CO and got my best friend a reward ticket to Paris. Here was our conversation. I think she is excited. Now to explain to her that I also plan to meet up with people I have never met that I talk to online ....
Rachel - Could you get off work Friday, Monday, and Tuesday.
Vicki - No, probably not
Rachel - Even for a free trip to Paris
Vicki - Are you serious?
Rachel - Yes
Vicki - Hold on!
(Rachel waits)
Vicki - I can get off!
Rachel - Yeah

Right now I'm flying into AMS 5/24 then going on immediatly to Vienna with a return on Sun morning 5/26 to AMS and a flight back to the US 5/27. So if you (or any other FT'ers)are around on Sun 5/26 in AMS or Fri/Sat in Vienna--I'd love to get together!!

Rachel: I'm probably only around on Sunday, but not sure if I can make definite plans right now for anything. Maybe coffee or drinks later in the afternoon/early evening?
I'll e-mail you my cell phone number - don't hesitate to call or post here if you need help/info on anything.

I am really not the person to be picking out places, but Sunday seems to be the day most people are available. Perhaps a late afternoon meeting for coffee or drinks.
I plan on visiting Le Louvre on Sunday since it has free admission on the first Sunday of the month. Perhaps somewhere within walking distance from their would be helpful for me.
Could one of our locals set a place for an early evening meeting spot for a mini flyertalk meeting.
Since my friend will be in town, I would also like to go to a nice dinner on Saturday. Nothing super fancy, just some place that we can have a nice dinner and enjoy authentic French cuisine and not have our food spit in because we are Americans!
