Laptop Carriers

What is your favorite laptop carrier? Currently I use a Kensington backpack/shoulder convertible, but am looking to upgrade.

My_Ladycroakr... welcome to FT. A question such as this would be better posted on OMNI, and would would find that forum by clicking on the below link:

BTW, I use a Tumi safecase expandable organizer computer brief (Style: 26219621) in Napa Leather. I love it, had it for over 2+ years now and its great.

Thanks, Gaucho. I'm new at this. Really, I'm looking for the ideal laptop carrier for a frequent flyer. So, I wasn't sure which forum might be best...

i used the backpack, but it still put the pounds on your feet. i switched to a port roller. the handle is kind of weak and i broke it. i drilled the handle and put 6 sheet metal screws, but the handle is cracking all over. i guess i will need to look for something more sturdy.

Tumi Deluxe Safecase here. I got the Ballistic nylon version as I think it'll wear better over the long haul, although the leather sure looks better when it's new. I should qualify this by saying that I'm not a frequent flyer (only occasional) but I am a frequent traveler and do a lot of presentations, sales trainings and the like. This bag protects my laptop extremely well and holds everything I need it to and then some. In fact, you have to be careful not to load too much stuff in it or it can become too heavy (and I'm a big guy). If I was to do it again, I'd probably get the middle size Safecase, not the biggest because I never really use all the space in this bag. Keep in mind that I carry ten different cables for the computer, mouse, power supply, digital camera, charger for cell phone, charger for camera, charger for PDA, Hard case for glasses, big stack of business cards, travel pharmacy, etc.. Basically your boyscout style be prepared for any eventuality type of kit, and I STILL have extra room in the Deluxe version.

Yeah. Sorry for cross-posting. I wish they had training wheels for these forums...It took me two tries to figure out where this post belongs. So, hopefully, folks won't mind answering in Travelbuzz?
