Kokonutz-- Have you been drinking again? I can help. Forward me your snail mail address and I will send you a case of Mablec from El Alto Valle de Mendoza. Then tell me about Argentine wine.

And please, dont steer this thread away from the real issues, if you want to discuss the stuff of Baccus, start a thread in OMNI.

Yes, lets stick to the real issues. I can relate to what Gaucho100K said.

It does not matter if I agree or disagree with what Gaucho100K says. The rules have to be the same for everyone. I may not attack him personally, by reminding him that he owes me a currywurst- that is all.

transpac Mar 22, 2002 7:31 am

Currywurst? I stil can't believe you guys like to ruin perfectly good bratwurst http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif Or do you just like to eat with toothpicks? Next it'll be mayonnaise on the fries.

Well, judging from the fact that doc is actively emailing folks about FT threads instead of posting on FT, I think it is quite obvious that he is in fact serving a "Flyertalke time-out" like I originally said ... note I never said who imposed the time-out, and taking Randy's statements at face value, it is apparently a self-imposed "Flyertalk time-out" and not one imposed on him by someone else ... or is "Flyertalk time-out" a legally defined and/or copyrighted term that would not apply if it is self-imposed?

Gaucho100K Mar 22, 2002 7:48 am

Guys, I love the humour, and I dont like mayo on my fried, I owe Emailman a Currywurst, but please lets stick to the issues here and discuss the fun/humourous stuff in a separate thread.

It does this 'community' no good to shove out heads into some hole and pretend all is well. Yes, the facts are the facts, but its also true that rumours many times have a good dose of facts behind them.

TravelAssist Mar 22, 2002 8:45 am

While Gaucho100K won't be able to answer this thread right now, I will repeat, I like to hear the sound of opinions on travel, miles and points, not rumors.

I can say again that Doc is not on any forced time out from FlyerTalk. I still think it's about the start of baseball season there in New York. I remember that occasionally I take some time away from FlyerTalk. I call it my mental health day.

kokonutz Mar 22, 2002 8:55 am

Yes, travelassist YES. But ASKING Gaucho to take a time out is not the same as issuing him one.

The TOS clearly state that calling names is not allowed. That son-of-a-crud Argentine abuser of developing nations has violated those terms. He is a no-account fool and...worst of all has not taste in wine.

Threats and suggestiongs suck. Time him out!!!

Good thing for you and some of your friends time-outs aren't issued for poor grammar and spelling.

Oh no ... this wasn't meant to be a contest ... there's no way I can keep up with the level of abuse koko can dish out ...

Randy:

Doc is a Yankee fan, but baseball season doesn't start for another week and a half, so I can't imagine what he would need to do to prepare. Unless, of course, he's a Cablevision subscriber, in which case he's probably been spending several days installing his DirectTV dish so he can get the games on the new YES Network. Otherwise, even the seats in Yankee Stadium can get cleaned in a couple of hours with a family-size bottle of Fantastik and a package of anti-matter chewing gum.

Well, I miss him.

Good Wine: Carmen 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon Valle Lentral (I have a bottle in my carry-on right now)

Not Good Wine: Alfredo Roca Malbec 1996.

At least [i]someone in South America knows how to vint.

Good Whine: "I cant post on FT for a while."

Not Good Whine: "Ooooh, I'm in New Orleans and have no place to sleep and the hotel won't give me a room and its 5 am and I am tired. Waaaahhhh."

At least one clown (hint: not Beckles the...) knows how to travel....
