Easter - London - Hard Workers Needed

Yes - I am actually staying at home for the weekend and have decided to decorate my flat. Any painting volunteers ? Free mojitos and overalls provided.

no it is the perfect mileage opportunity - a change to pop over the the UK and then stay on some discounted rate at the hilton just 5 mins from the painting/DIY fest. what more of a fun weekend could you ask for ? don't you get 'Changing Rooms' on TV in France?

I believe it's also conveniently located for a branch of B&Q (US folks read "Home Depot") so we can buy paint and brushes locally without having to carry them on the plane.

Food and drink are easily obtained at the nearby McDonalds or for a bit of variety the petrol (US folks read "gas") station on the corner.

Sounds like we're going to have fun!

oops - forgot to mention the most important thing, the folks at the Hilton won't mind too much if we use their toilets ("restrooms") - it's a brisk half mile walk, but the fresh air will allow us to escape from the paint fumes for a bit.

SarahWest - you must have been stalking me - how did you know where i live ?! You omitted to mention the floating pub in the dock nearby - a nice refreshing change from tired old hotel minibars..

I am planning to paint the kitchen, bathroom, hallway and lounge(bar). So that's at least an 8 person job. Come on teams - spaces at this FT event are limited ! I could decorate each room in a different airline livery if that would inspire you a bit more.

Oh, please. She's obviously working for you on commission.

Sort of - the advert stated I'd have to pay my own commission but as a reward I'd be allowed to help paint the kitchen. Seemed too good an opportunity to miss!

So is airfare included in this painting party? If so, I would be delighted to volunteer, assuming I can select my own flights (I'll accept the cheapest upgradable coach ticket on AA).

Darn, what a shame. If only I had know about the DIY party BEFORE I filled my schedule with friends, dinners and theatre.

Nope, Spam is 'the unsolicited distribution of commercial e-mail, to offer goods or services'.

Alternatively, it's a pink meat that comes in a tin and was big in the 40's....
