What Make FlyerTalk So Very Special??

Time for a reprise of this one, perhaps?

What Make FlyerTalk So Very Special??

I am amazed at the quality of people who visit Flyer Talk and at the generous, caring community that has developed here over the past couple of years.

When my daughter visited Manhattan this winter, I gave her Catman's phone number as an emergency backup. When I mentioned to a friend that she had an internet friend's number for emergencies, my friend couldn't even believe that I had actually met someone from cyberspace, let alone that I would refer my daughter to him if she had an emergency need. My response was that, if I couldn't trust Catman, who could I trust?

What is it that makes FlyerTalk so special, so wonderful, and so different than the rest of cyberspace? Why is it that so many truly fabulous people from all around the world really feel that they need to just pop in her everyday to see what's happening?

I think that we attract such high-quality participants because we celebrate generosity, caring, honesty, integrity and class and ignore the rest.

What do you think?

Doc,

Another way for us to keep the "noise" down in Buzz, is to minimize cross-posting. While I agree this is a good topic to reincarnate, it could be done by simply "bringing it to the top", in TravelBuzz where it currently resides.

Thanks,
