Quickest/cheapest way from SFO to Oakland
I have an 8 hour layover in SFO tomorrow and am wondering if someone can tell me the quickest/easiest/cheapest way to get from SFO to Jack London Square in Oakland.

Get on the SamTrans BART shuttle bus to the Colma station...then take BART to the Lake Merritt station (need to get on a Fremont-bound train).
From there, take an AC Transit bus to Jack London Square. Not sure of the exact route, but Transit Info (817-1717 from any Bay Area area code) can help out.
Allow about 1.5-2 hrs. for each way.
A day in downtown SF is much easier: just take the SamTrans express bus (KX) downtown. Only 1/2 hr.

If you can't sort out the buses at Lake Merritt, you can just walk down Oak Street and under the freeway to Jack London Square. I used to work at the BART headquarters there and would walk down there at lunch some days.
I looked at the Waterfont Hotel and they had this info listed:
Downtown Shuttle (FREE)
A free lunchtime shuttle bus connects Jack London Square to downtown Oakland. The shuttle runs along Broadway every six minutes between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.
If you go this route, take a Concord or Richmond train to 12th Street/Oakland City Center.
