Happy New Year! A time of new beginnings, renewed potential, whatever calendar you're using. I'm still laboring along in 1440 or 2018. As I recall, the Hebrew calendar has some very long "leap" years, so perhaps we are catching up slowly.(?) Ah, not important. Onward!

We catch up every nineteen years because 19 solar years are equal almost exactly 235 lunar months. The 3rd, 6th, 8th, 11th, 14th, 17th and 19th years of the cycle have leap months (source).
