going to 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake?
Anyone here going to the Winter Olympics? If so, do you need a room or have a room to share? I have some tentative hotel reservations about an hour oustide SLC for Feb 13-17 and a car rental reservation--we'd have space for another person or two, or if someone has some reasonable accomodations and would like to pick up two other guests to split costs (we'd dump our reservations), let me know.
Or, if there are any FT'ers in SLC who have floor space....
------------
On a side note, I was surprised to find availability for reward seats through United for both Delta and United flights from ORD to SLC for the dates mentioned above--I was sure those seats would have been long gone. Booked a non-stop Delta seat which would have run $450.

I'll only go if I'm on a private plane, staying at a Park City house/condo, and have a VIP package to the events. Otherwise the security hassles will be far too much to endure, IMHO.
Fortunately I just may get all those things so I might attend.

Well, just decided to take the girlfriend to the Olympics 2/14-17, so if any of you are there duing that period and griffon has still plans to attend, then please let me know and perhaps we'll get a chance to connect.
Still scrounging for tickets so if you have any extras or know anyone, I'm begging around.
See you there.

Next saturday, I'll be the guy waving a finger in the air (not the bad finger), saying: "Who's got my miracle?"

Hey, this could be an opportunity for a bash in SLC! Are there any plans / possibilities for a get together? I live here but will probably leave town on the 16th for France. Randy are you available? There are several FT'ers based in SLC that I know of.

I'm available so let's get planning. I arrive late on 2/13 and depart late on 2/17. No firm plans for anything though I am going to buy the women's hockey tickets from griffon and eat mexican food at Cafe Pierpont. That's the only two things i have planned so far. Look forward to seeing any FTers in SLC.

Count me in. I have hockey tix at 3:00 2/14 (taking my Valentine's Day date--my 7 year-old nephew), but I'm free most of 2/15 and all of 2/16. Do people want to brave the crowds downtown or seek out a spot slightly off the beaten path?

Randy..the best Mexican food in SLC is not at Cafe Pierpont it is the Red Iguana on North Temple. Cafe Pierpont is good, but unless you are staying within walking distance finding a parking place will a challenge. If something gets put together for a get together..I am game!
