We are now taking up a collection to send Jill flowers when she can recieve them. We would also like to do something for her when she is at home recovering

To make it easy B747 has volunteered his paypal account. Please make it clear that you are donating for Jill.

www.paypal.com
The address is

[email protected]

The suggested donation is $5, but all donations are encouraged. This link will make a $5 donation

https://www.paypal.com/xclick/busine...&no_shipping=1

We will help Jill pull through this

Janet

'Twas my post initially, just popped into the first thread I hit.

At this time, Jill Griffin is scheduled for
surgery at 7AM EST,06NOV01, at WakeMed 3000 New Bern AV. in Raleigh. Surgery is supposed to last aprox. 4 hours. Doctors maintain the anuerism is "small" and easily repaired.
Last report Jill was blasting the nurses because her head hurt and " why couldn't she have a cup of coffee". (Definitely good sign , she is cranky....)
Jill is only permitted to have immediate family visit, for 15 minutes at a time. No flowers, cards etc, as she will be in the Critical Care unit for at least a week
maybe more. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Sometimes when patients aren't allowed flowers, balloons are an option.

As of 2:30 pm Eastern time, Jill's surgery is complete and she is in the ICU in "guarded" condition. (The hospital said that this is a normal condition report for soon after major surgery.)
