OK... I will ask.
What does where a banned member of FT is posting have to do with FlyerTalk Community?

I have met both Oz and Joh on several occasions and I like them both very much.
While many of the problems Oz encountered on FT can be laid at the door of Australian exuberance (which often lacks the PC awareness which has infiltrated the US in the past few years), there is no question that he (like most of us) would have benefited from leaving some of his posts in his head, rather than transferring them to the WWW.
Having said that, after studying this issue in great detail, I still firmly believe that Oz was very poorly treated on Flyer Talk. A very undesirable "Gang Mentality" declared open season on Oz, which resulted in many unjustified attacks upon him by people who really didn't know much about him or the situation but thought that berating him was an OK thing to do.
While I am sure that there will be many who disagree, IMHO "The Oz Saga" is one of the saddest bits of history that we as a community carry on our collective consious.

I disagreed with ozstamps on several issues, agreed with him on others, benefited from a couple of his postings. While Randy may have revoked his handle, I don't think that the community banished him (refer to Rudi's post).

"Unjustified attacks." I have to admit that one always cracks me up too.
Punki, the "sad saga" you refer to was only sad in that it took too long to resolve correctly, IMHO. Fortunatly wiser minds did eventually prevail.
Ditto on dhammer53's view of these posts.
For the reasons Geo1004 states (and others), I would personally prefer if this person(s) (in any of his/her names) were never mentioned on this board again. Many bad memories are brought back by this thread even starting.
As one of "their" many victims, I choose not to forgive or forget.
I guess some people see things in this world through different colored glasses.
My memories of those painful days on FlyerTalk remain as clear as a dew drop on a sunny summer morning.
