Status Quo at FlyerTalk
Hey guys, I'm a PlaneBusiness.com carry over and noticed a few things.
Once I hit 100 posts, do I become an "Elite" poster ? If so, do I get special posting priviledges that others don't, such as priority edit, priority graphics, etc?
And if i hit 1,000 posts, do I become a GOLD Star member and get a cute lil graphic put by my name ? ?
I'd think a site that is dedicated to us frequent flyers should *reward* those of us that frequent this site and make it a better community!!!
*smiles*

FT used to have three categories: Junior Member (which was later changed to "New Member"), Member and FT Evangelist.
I don't remember how many posts you had to have for each category. It was taken away a few months ago because people felt like the different categories were oppressing them or something like that.

As Doppy said, the levels have been removed.
Originally you were a Junior until your 30th post, then became a Member until the 250th. At the 251 mark, the level was changed to Evangelist.
I'm glad these levels went away...and I wish Post Count would also.

Welcome to FT, UAPremierExec.
I just found out a couple of weeks ago about the demise of the PlaneBusiness boards. What a shame. There was a lot of good info out there, but also a lot of rabble lately.
Just fyi, this forum is for posting FT get-togethers (or, on occasion, for collecting contributions for a sick board member), and for posting to the Who We All Are thread.
Cheers!

I do like the post count also. It's like seeing the special badges/ribbons that some airline employees have after reaching a certian level or X years of service. Just like an airline employee with some kind of badge, I trust FTer advice more from people who have let's say 50+ posts than someone who has 1 post.
