I'm always game for an Atlanta meet. I don't show anything on my schedule for those days, so it looks promising. I'm sure loco miler will emerge from the woodwork and start organizing things like he does so well!

Hey! Welcome to FlyerTalk Clinton Sweatman. Great suggestion.

Ling, I sure wish I could be there in Georgia the first Tuesday of next month. In addition to Bone's which is wonderful,

Bone's Restaurant
3130 Piedmont Road
Atlanta, GA 30305
404.237.2663
www.yp.bellsouth.com/sites/bonesrestaurant

....may I suggest the following two restaurants for your serious dining consideration:

Palm Restaurant
at the Swisstel
3391 Peachtree Road NE
Atlanta, GA 30326
404.814.1955
www.thepalm.com

Prime
Lennox Square
3393 Peachtree Road NE
Atlanta, GA 30326
404.812.0555
www.prime-restaurant.com

Hopefully belle3388 will chime in with some of her favorite Atlanta dining experiences. Also, here are a couple related threads with perhaps some additional dining possibilities:

I miss the beautiful state of Georgia. Those Georgia Peaches are really devine! At least she was the last time I visited her. I always enjoy that Southern Hospitality and Fine Dining.

Ling - what type of food do you like, Atlanta has a vast selection of restaurants. Here's my favorite restaurant guide, Zagats: http://www.zagat.com/List/TopFoodByC...1&LID=31&VID=1

Unless she changed her plans, Belle and hubby might be in France on 11/6/01.

I could make dinner on 11/6.

Thank you for the wonderful links, MRLIMO! Helps my research along, though I usually wait about a week before I leave to read up. That's so I don't get confused with other plans in other cities.

B747-437B, and loco miler, I would love to meet with you. Sorry to miss you, Bob, stimpy, and Clinton Sweatman. I love all kinds of food. Just no avocados, green peppers, or Chinese {not that I dislike Chinese food, I get my share...}. It would be nice to try an Atlanta regional specialty. Italian, Thai, Ethiopian, even pizza is fine, it's the company that counts.

@@looks like brother Loco has been keeping tab of my whereabout...
and he is right, hubby and I will be in Nice on the 4th till 12th of November...(for the PiP Cannes)
truly sorry couldn't be here myself to meet you, Ling, so very few come to Atlanta to visit....

but I am sure brother Loco, B747, etc. will show you a mighty swell time in Atlanta!
(and I shall be thinking of y'all while having breakfast on the balcony overlooking the blue Mediterranean Sea )

btw, Prime still has the $10.00 STEAK special: Filet Mignon, New York Sirloin, Ribeye(my favourite) from 5:00p.m. till 6:30p.m.... greatest deal in town, IMHO!
(same steaks price at $22.50 & up at other times)

wishing you a safe and fun trip to the south,
belle
p/s thanks, Mr. Limo for your kind recommendation

Ling,

We just missed another one. I am flying on a solo mileage run and will be doing a touch and go into FLL on the 7th from LAX via EWR. So close but so far.

I refuse to be the guest of honor. We are a small group of FTers getting together for socializing. (I had this vision of "speech! speech!", and that ain't gonna happen.)

loco miler, you pick the restaurant and time. I don't know when everyone gets off work, etc. And as I said before, food is secondary...I'm here for the company. Will be nice to meet you, B747-437B and avek00.

Dave, I miss you. in Tucson. in FLL. in Medford. in Portland. Glad you're taking advantage of the CO double status miles, and those cheap fares to Florida. Boy, did the prices go up today from PDX.
