PlatinumFlyer and myself are both okay and in Manhattan, out of harm's way.
It's been a horrific 24 hours and we're lucky to be alive. We spent part of Monday trying to figure out why an appointment steps from the WTC was cancelled for Tuesday morning. We spent Tuesday counting our blessings for not having had the appointment and in shock, tears, anguish and a state of infuriation over what we were seeing. The streets of Manhattan, deserted but for the occasional emergency vehicle, are eerily quiet... it is still not real Our prayers are with our friends and others who have lost loved ones in this horrific calamity. |
Here in DC safe but shaken.

Erica and I are safe but not well slept in Cupertino. Dad99 was en route YOW-YYZ-SFO when ground stopped in YYZ. We hope to see him this week.
Like so many, seem to be missing friends and classmates from WTC. Thoughts and prayers to all who have lost and suffered. Greg |
I wasn't traveling yesterday...prayers for all who are affected or who have family or friends affected directly by this tragedy.
|
Safe just outside DC.
Very strange to hear the military jets on alert flying overhead... |
Safe in Chicago.

I'm safe, but stranded in New Jersey for now and staying with a friend. I'm just awaiting the next available Continental flight from Newark to Oakland. Incidentally they have been excellent with regard to info on their web site & on successive rebookings via phone.
My heart is with the friends and family of ALL the injured and dead. |
at home in ATL, slack jawed at the horror.

Save at home - have not decided about our USA trip in 10/01 yet.

At home, safe, but shocked.

I'm OK in Anaheim. Had a few worried family who knew I was travelling west this week, and usually fly from BOS. Brother-in-law works near WTC and saw 2nd hit - he was in still in shock last night. Even watching it over and over again it still does not seem real.
This will forever change our lives.... |
Safe but stuck in my office in NJ because Manhattan was sealed. Hope to return today. So many friends work downtown and it's just frightening. I'm praying more survivors are found today.
|
Safe in DC. My office is a mile from the Pentagon and yesterday was surreal - I could see smoke from the crash, and sirens were blazing all day long. Every few minutes there are still emergency vehicles around.
Sigh. My most frequent route is IAD-LAX. |
Safe in NYC.
