Recognizing you?

When travelling I always look out for fellow FT members but are any of you recognizable? Do you ware the pin? cap? even a t-shirt? or do I have to keep checking out luggage tags?

Scott,

This is a "Community" related question, which is a better place to pose this.

Thanks

Thanks Craig, I just thought it would be a nice follow up on http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/004884.html (also in buzz...)

Craig -- I have to disagree with moving this thread here.

This issue in no way deals with official get togethers, or even talking about unofficial get-togethers. Rather, it deals with imprompteau meetings.

It is no different than a thread on "Do you start talking to people displaying elite tags for non-US based airlines if you're also elite on that airline?"

Both are about non-planned encounters where you talk to someone based on something they're displaying. Neither one of them is about planning a get-together.

There is clearly a lot of stuff in Buzz that doesn't belong. Unfortunately much of it IMHO, should go to one of the other boards (Travel, Airports, etc.). At this time we can not transfer threads to other boards.

Threads that are very new, and this one only had the original posting, are the best candidates for moving. Once there has been a lot of activity in a thread, even if it is misplaced it becomes a harder decision to move it.

In the case of this posting, it is my personal feeling that Buzz is not the very best home for it. The Buzz category description from the http://www.flyertalk.com/forumcgi/Ultimate.cgi homepage reads as follows:

Discussion of the latest frequent flyer buzz...

The Community description is:

The official get together page for the FlyerTalk community

I appreciate that others may believe Buzz is the right home for this. We can debate this indefinitely...

Recognizing me? Well, I am young, wearing a suit and walking fast through the airport looking really important swinging my big-business-looking briefcase-like bag which has all kinds of fancy tags on it

FWIW, while I did not post the thread, I support the move, albeit I generally do not like moving threads! Let's support our moderators!

When I travel, I'm usually wearing khakis, a button-down shirt, and a blazer. I wear my FT pin on the blazer -- which I hang up myself in the F cabin (I've given up waiting for the FAs to do it).

I don't wear the blazer when my upgrade hasn't cleared in advance. It gets smushed in the overhead.

If I'm wearing a suit, I wear the pin on my suit jacket as well.

I have FT luggage tags both on my bags I'm checking (a rare occurance) and the bags that I carry on -- including my laptop case.

So, I'm hard to miss -- or so I'd think.

I've never been spotted yet.

I did spot a woman with a FT pin on an early morning LGA-IAD flight about a month ago. I was in 2B and she was walking back to Y -- I saw her as she walked past, and there was no chance to say hi.

I use FT tags... that's all I can do.

On DAL-LAX flight from time to time.

I have the tags on all bags. I have the pin, but as I wear a dress without a blazer usually I don't quite know what to do with it.

I am hoping to spot some of you. Perhaps on my way from SAT/DFW/SEA week after next.
