Don´t know what to study after school....

I need your help FT´ers!!!
I will finish my school education next april and I still don´t know what to study. My first thought after becoming a soccer pro was of becoming a pilot at Lufthansa but I won´t get miles there so I have to choose something new.
I think consulting or investment banking (travel industry oriented?) would suit great to me because I am very interested in companies and stocks.
But everybody is studying business here in Germany and I already visit a business orientated Gymnasium so everything what I´ll learn in the first two years in university is just the same like on my old school. Very boring!!!
What do you think I should do? I want a job where I travel a lot and earn good money to afford some rtw´s in first! But I also now that this would be a very tough life with very long working days. I would love to do this!
So in May I have a free month till
I get my results from my Abitur and I was thinking about working 3 or 4 weeks in a company and see what it´s like to work in the consulting or investment banking branch.
Perhaps one of you FT´ers can help me to get such job all over the world!
By the way I already worked in a bank for 3 weeks and they wanted me to do an apprenticeship there but I would´t be happy to have a 9-5 job with one day like the other.
If you have any questions regarding me and my school records please contact me!

To the dream of becoming a soccer pro mentioned above don´t think I am crazy. I was German U-16 vice champion 1997,U-18 vice-champion 2000 and U-18 champion 1999 with Werder Bremen. This season I had trials with Sheffield United and Dinamo Bucharest until my knee got injured another time and I don´t know if I can play ever again on such a high level.

And a knee injury ruins another FTer's sporting future...

Do not study BWL or VWL it is just boring :-)

Pilot an LH gives you flights at 10% of lowest published price and quite a bit of money, and you can learn it right there in Bremen.

When I lived in Bremen it was funny to see the pilot student (everyone with the so important pilot suitcase) at HB airport...

Hi Peter42!
You´re right but it´s very hard to get into the program! I have been to their info day and less than 10% of all applicants will be accepted after taking both tests in Hamburg!
I will try it but I have to look for other options like mentioned in my first post!
Have you studied BWL or VWL?

By the way what do you think of the LH lounge in Bremen? I´m not allowed to use it but I am very interested what other persons think about my hometown airport!

the LH Senator lounge in Bremen shares the entry with the business-class (Frequent-flier lounge): Senators to the right, business-class to the left and it doesn't really offer anything else than the other (business-class-) side.

And I very much like Becks (and Hacke-Beck Kräusen Pils), the Schnoor quarter, a Spätlese-wine at the Rathauskeller and a Werder Bremen soccer game at the Weser-stadium.

As one lucky enough to have spent 2 summers in Bremen and to have met Rudi there, I will simply add my good words about this great city.

Consulting does often involve long hours and long periods away from home -- depends on the kind of (home) life you are after.

I was thinking about {B/V}WL as my minor, but
left quickly after a few lessons.

I only know the new LH lounge, which is small but OK.

I mean no offense, Tim2008, but this thread is off-topic in this forum. I'll have to move it to OMNI and lock it down here.
