Well, I have safely arrived at my hotel in Mira Mesa, about 15 minutes north of the airport. Arrived at LAX too late to make the American flight (LAX weather delays), so got on the standby list for the 12:45 United Express flight, which immediately cleared and off I went (I had a confirmed seat at 3:45 as a backup). Actually ended up arriving BEFORE I was originally scheduled with an SFO connection (something you don't anticipate with United). It worked out perfectly.

The weather is GORGEOUS here http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Have already stocked up on a couple of new Ocean Pacific T shirts so I blend in.

Was hoping to be there last night, but got delayed. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif But leaving Orange County via car within an hour...about a 1 1/2 drive. Won't be able to make airport tours, but hope to meet everyone at dinner tonight, and maybe at the Windsock bar this afternoon.

Looking forward to swapping airline and travel stories with everyone. Should be a fun weekend!

OK it is my time to post delay info. I got to SFO early because I knew earlier flights were wide open and I wanted to go standby.

Well half have been canceled and the other half delayed. So my 20:00 flt is leaving at 21:48 (and subject to be later) so I will arrive at about 23:15. I have cell phones for a couple of your guys so I'll just call when I arrive.

Ya just gotta love SFO.

I flew down on AS and totally avoided SFO, but Hunki and Peregrine, needed UA points and sadly had the typical SFO socked in problems. They just arrived.

When leaving Nordstroms, I just happened to run into Smooth so she came along with me the the airport to pick up the guys and then dropped by to check out our Jr. Suite at the Sheraton. She and Peregrine are out on the balcony now waiting and watching for the 777 to take off. Then we can go up to the Penthouse and check out the club before heading out to dinner.

Who else is at the Sheraton?

Punki, it's a shame about the delayed flights. I'm glad that everyone has arrived in time for dinner.
