Chat Room Thanks
A family emergency came up last night, and my father was desparate to find a last-minute ticket overseas.
After some searching on the FT board, I went to the FT Chat Room to get some questions answered. Many thanks to San Diego 1K, danville 1K, and B747... (sorry, I can't remember the rest of your handle!), for answering my questions and for all of your suggestions during a very stressful time.
As it turns out, the "emergency" has improved greatly, and he may not have to fly out after all, at least not on such short notice.
It's always gratifying to know people can still get help from strangers. Hopefully, I can return the favor to others in the future.

pseudoswede, I'm sure that each of us on Chat last night was happy to be of any help possible. It's each of our worst nightname to have a family member with a serious medical problem, and we're far away. I'm glad that the emergency trip can now become something a little more leisurely planned.
