Chicago: Dinner on 7/13/01?
Wondering if there are any fellow FTers out there who will be in ORD this Friday. I'll be staying at a Marriott brand property near Michigan (don't know which one yet, as I have reservations at three and haven't decided).
I would be interested in meeting for dinner and drinks somewhere downtown that evening.
Anyone out there wanna make plans?
I've only been there once (in April), so perhaps others can suggest a place with a great atmosphere, good service, and a varied menu w/out out-of-this-world prices.

I'd love to join you this Friday but already have plans for the evening. Perhaps another time? I will, however, offer a couple of restaurant suggestions, both of which would be convenient to any of the Marriott properties you are considering (and a stone's throw from the Courtyard if that is one of the three).
The Hudson Club is a favorite of mine and offers great drinks and an excellent wine list (many of them offered by the glass or flight) and very good food and service. A few weeks ago, I had drinks and dinner there with always_delayed (and friend), bibbityboo and Mikey Likes it; we all enjoyed the experience.

Another place I like is Nacional 27, which is part of the Lettuce Entertain You group of restaurants. They feature their own twist on the cuisine of 27 Latin American countries and I have always enjoyed the food and service. They, too, have an excellent wine list and a beautiful bar area. The whole place is very inviting and attractive.
