Diner in SF this Sat (June 16th)

Goldlust is gracing us with his presence this weekend and we are planning diner in San Francisco on Saturday night.

Here is the thread that started this diner engagement:

Anyone in WAS, LAS, SFO or YVR?

So far there are five of us and I have made reservations at the Slanted Door on Valencia and 17th. Goldlust only said he wanted healthy good. This is not set in stone and is always open to suggestion.

If anyone else wants to come please post here or email me.

Reservations at Slanted Door are cancelled because of slight conflict. I am open to suggestions.

Miyabi is a tasty and reasonably-priced Japanese on Church near Market (afraid I'll be in LGA this weekend, though, hiding in A/C quarters).

It seems like the dinner plans are falling apart. EPS seems to have the ball. To bad so few FlyerTalkers in SFO want to participate. Guess it must be a busy weekend.

Sorry I can't make it either - I am on the road and won't be back in SF until the 23rd.

Perhaps next time!

I'm in charge? Eek.

Unless someone comes up with a better idea, I'm going to take my own advice,

(skipping the Golden Gate bridge excursion) and plan to be at Pasquale's around 7 p.m. .... probably dragging along some non-FT friends.

It seems as if things have officially fallen apart. There is always a next time.

Sorry this thread is difficult to follow. Most of the correspondence was done through email and phone.

We should try and have a mini FT diner in SF before the SAN weekend. Anyone up for planning it?

Tha's probably why it was so hard to follow...I myself wound up with a possibility of Saturday free after all and couldn;t figure out what was going on....

I was where I said I'd be when I said I'd be there. Pasquale's was wonderful, although no one else at our table was interested in pizza! We all ordered Italian entrees. Generous portions, reasonable prices.

Had I known this weekend was destined to crash and burn, I would have snapped up UA's SFO-SEA E-Fare special. Oh well.

Sorry squeakr. The diner was off by noon on Saturday. I should have just kept it to Goldlust's original thread.

EPS, Goldlust decided to eat in Concord. I think he was hoping a ton of Fters would want to go out Sat night but the notice was kind of late.

The next time we will plan in advance.

Yes, the one at the corner of Irving St. and 8th Ave.

It's a real pain trying to plan a San Francisco event. Half the locals are out of town at any given time, and everyone seems to have some cuisine they won't eat.

i think that's why look forward more to smaller impromptu events....too difficult rounding up lots of folks but for 2 or 3 it seems easier...

Asone of those people who can;t eat certain foods..(sushi/shellfish ) I know it makes it difficult but my attitude is if I miss one restaurant I'm likely to find another the next go around...
