Gee, I'm sorry that you didn't post this earlier. Punki's in Atlanta and I'm home alone with Dom, so I guess that I'll just join you in spirits, and pour another glass of a Chilean 1997 cabernet.

I did not plan on going until the day before when my manager insisted that I come, as a guest.
We had a great time. There was mesquite grilled chicken and beef, baked brie, hand-made chocolates etc...
The winery owner's son, Nat Komes, invited our table to a private tour of the winery this summer.
Sorry about the late notice. Next time I will give more notice.

I was lucky enough to be in town for this one. It was very good. I got to ask the winery owner why they can't make good Rose in California. He claimed that they can, but there is no market for Rose in CA.
If I won the lottery, I would start a quality Rose winery and market the heck out of it! Nothing beats a good Rose on a summer afternoon. It's a good thing I'm a frequent flyer so I can personally bring back Rose from Europe each time I visit. Bandol or Tavel usually work for me.
Anyhow Flora Springs makes a very good Chardonnay so I bought a couple of bottles. It tastes very close to Chardonnay Du Chardonnay which is the real thing or at least from the real place. I also bought a couple of bottles of the excellent Trilogy Meritage.
