Need Info

I'm relatively new to Flyertalk so I sometimes feel totally ignorant of the political items. But can someone tell me what FT Evangelist means: I see it on many comments and don't know if it's a person with many identities or many people and it implies some title or membership or whatever. Please explain. Thanks

Marysunshine, welcome to FlyerTalk.

FT evangelist just means you have over 250 postings. No one judges how good those 250 were.

Marysunshine -

As opus17 said all postings get "counted", even those that are just a "smiley face".

edited to correct "bold" in my signature.
it has taken me three (3) tries to get the "bold" corrected. I am so-o-o embarassed
maybe it was because my middle daughter got married yesterday maybe it is because I am now beginning to think about the money; miles (free r/t for the two of them to Hawaii) or the hotel points (six nights) for their Honeymoon. Or maybe it is just PWS - post wedding syndrone Let's see if I have it right this time?

PS - Happy Holidays-Merry Christmas-Felize Navidad-Joyeaux Noel to y'all from Texas!

Marysunshine:

A bit of extra info:

less than 30 posts: "New Member"
30 to 249 posts: "Member"
250 or more posts: "FlyerTalk Evangelist"

Some people get a swelled head about these "designations".

Welcome, Marysunshine,

Hope you'll stay with us and add some "sunshine' to the boards, which, of late, have been lots of "flame wars", which I'm sure you've noticed. Too much space and time taken up by jetblasts, but hopefully, it's about over, and we all can concentrate on making our travels better and having fun while at it.
Welcome

bj-21.

Yo Mary,
How are ya? Nice to see another Brooklynite here on the boards. They're good people...in spite of themselves sometimes. LOL

Indeed, Randy is just "one of the guys" yet also the owner/administrator/benfactor and whatever else! And the levels mean absolutely nothing, IMHO, unless it is important to you individually! Personally, as I've oft noted, they could be deleted or simply covered up and indicated only by checking with a mouse click - and we might all be somewhat better served!

Bigtex1: You don't have to be embarassed any longer about the number of edits you have. Let me give you a tip which I've discovered. When you edit your post the system appends the message [This message has been edited by blah, blah, blah.] Well, when you go into re-edit a second time and every time after, you can delete this statement, so you will never have more than one "edited by" statement. Believe me, I have to do this sometimes.
