I may be in town that day. Email me if anything happens.
Perhaps that Italian restaurant in Hermosa that we had a flyertalk dinner at once?

My flight is at 10:00 pm from LAX on United.
I'd like to check in by 9-9:15.
I'll be in Pomona during the day. So I'm flexible on the location.
I'm flexible on the restaurant.
So if one of you LA'ers don't pick a place soon, I will.

The restaurant that stimpy mentioned is Il Boccaccio on Pier Ave. in Hermosa.
Dan, if we made a 6:30pm reservation, you should be able to get to LAX by 9-9:15. Let me know if that's OK and I'll call them.
Here's a little teaser from last April.
Note to PremEx & Quiet Lion...you missed the dinner here last April. Care to join us?

The food...excellent, the appetizers just incredible and the service top-notch. Wines were a red & a white, ordered by stimpy, and they were great too!
The 'star' of the appetizers was a Salmon with French Fried Leek Strings that was excellent. Mussels, Caesar Salad and others were all good too. Baskets of bread just kept appearing with olive paste & diced tomato topping. All of us had wonderful meals, topped off with coffee and a Crme Brulee that was 'to die for'. It wasn't as good as the B-52 Crme Brulee at Caprial's in PDX, but it was close.

Shadow,
Italian food at a flyertalk dinner?@$!
I never heard of such a thing. I thought dinner was always steak!!! LOL
It's ok with me since I know where Pier Ave is. There's also a good sushi place nearby too!
Zagat rates the place a 22. That's fine with me. (Edit)

Bringing this forward...do we have a consensus yet? Still have a little time to firm up plans
I'll call somewhere & make reservations if we can get an idea of how many and what time.
Or if we want something other than Italian, that's OK too.
Sounds a bit hokey, but how about Encounter, right at LAX? You sure wouldn't have far to go to your flight, Dan.

Pete,
My vote goes for the Italian place but if we go to Encounter then we can also go to the CO Presidents Club for free drinks. Which ever place is fine with me.
