And nice to see onefreeman is being so civil here on this board to Catman. Especially as Catman has expressed in the past his displeasure about bad language on the boards. onefreeman today just posted the most vile 4 letter obscenity I have ever seen on Flyertalk.

Oz, go back and READ my first three posts in the FT Suggestions thread. Your paranoia is evident! I was NOT criticizing, flaming or provoking you. In fact, I believe that it was a compliment (note that at that time I had only been a registered user for less than 30 days). The first post was simply a SUGGESTION to the FT administrative folks. There was a lot of good information, it was just spread out over half a dozen threads. My next two posts in that thread did not even mention you! As I have stated before, I could care less who gets "credit" for drawing attention to a promotion. It is not a contest. The thought behind the SUGGESTION was to increase the efficiency of the board and centralize the information.

As for cross-posting, I believe that you are confusing it with cross-referencing. I posted a link so that other FTers would have a refence point to go to if they so choose. I was not eliciting comment on that thread. Compare that to what happened with the Mexicana threads.

Last, a comment on onefreeman's language. On its face, it probably was inappropriate. However, I believe that you must look at that comment in the context of all that has transpired on FT over the past several months. Oz, this is what your outrageous behavior does to otherwise civil, upstanding members of this community. We have all reached the frustration level. Be civil and honest OR just go away.

Premex2000, did you notice this was a nice board UNTIL Ozstamps showed up. The difference is night and day. Doesn't that say something. I do care, and I don't think he should get free rien to run people over with his inaccurate, immature, self-congratulatory crap and have it go un-noted. He should be run out of town so we CAN go back to the wonderful community this was. If, as you say, we can ignore OZ, why can't you just ignore those who disagree. The simple fact is the whole character of this place changed because of one person. That makes the arguement in my mind.

You may not care about this thread, but A LOT OF PEOPLE DO CARE. I was trying to abstain from this discussion, but please do not mistake my earlier silence for lack of interest. I'm actually in shock. Look at what Ozstamps' attacks and childish, manic, paranoid behavior has caused in this thread. I would have never ever guessed that Jon Toner found ozstamps behavior revolting based on Jon's prior posts, and I am disappointed that he has decided to leave (not that I blame him).

My only question is how many more good folks are out there who are fed up with Ozstamps but are just too polite to say anything.

Since I have also been personally attacked by ozstamps, it probably is no surprise that I am 110% behind every single word that CameraGuy, cactuspete, Jon Toner, droneklax, onefreeman, wormwood, et al have added in the past week. I know that I am not alone.

Who says that people can't distinguish? Is it so difficult to understand that perhaps some people don't see it as such a big deal.

Now when I write I generally refer to what are my life experiences to base it upon. I'm sure that everyone here has different life experiences. But here goes.
My hobby is soccer referring and I am doing a game of boys 15 to 17 years old. (This incident happens generally only in a game of boys 15 to 17 years old) Suddenly I notice two opponents who poking their chests into each other. (rooster fighting is what we call it) Now a game that had been enjoyable for the spectators and players is quickly about to become not. So I intervene. I get the two players aside and tell them to take it out to the parking lot and come back and tell me who won. They invariably tell me that they really weren't fighting.
And guess what? We are back to an enjoyable experience for the players and spectators.
Now I really don't care where you decide to take your disagreement to get it done. Do it in some private chat room or do it New York. But do it somewhere else so that the participants and spectators can have an enjoyable experience here on the boards.

I don't want to get on anybody's bad side. I simply don't know who's the bad guy because generally when I come across meanspirated posts, I skip over them. Most of the time, I don't even pay attention to who posted them. What I'm looking for on this board are helpful travel hints, not a war of words. Obviously, some people look closer at some of these posts than I do. There's nothing wrong with that. And there is something wrong with being meanspirited for no reason (although don't take this as an accusation against anyone). All I wish for is that we could all just get along. But if we can't all get along, we should focus our thoughts and posts not on not getting along but on travel-related information. That's all I wish and hope for. I hope I haven't offended anybody in the process and made myself the target of meanspiritedness.

The soccer analogy was perfect. I think that there are many of us that think that this disagreement is not that big a deal. If you don't answer back, the argument ends. It takes two to argue. Can't we just let this drop?

I didn't take the time to read everything between the first and the last post in this thread, but feel free to drop back in whenever you feel like it Jon.

Last eptember I posted a message asking Ozstamps why he cme into a formerly happy community and napalmed it. Resulted in lots pf squalking and howls. Now, six months later, just look at the results of Ozstanps
