Wouldn't SQUELCH solve all this?

(Disclaimer: the following is personal opinion, nothing more, nothing less...)

OK, the place is falling apart, and folks are bailing out...some honest ramblings about the current state of affairs on FT:

-While I have plenty of respect for a person's right to do so, I personally think that leaving the board because you don't care for others in the community is a bit of a wimpy move - Remember Kris Kristoferson's quote "Don't let the .......s get you down"...

-The old saying about the cream rising to the top seems appropriate here - let your reputations carry you above the bottom-dwellers!

-People who crave attention caused by flaming will generally move on if they don't get it - responding to their garbage just prolongs this. Freeze them out. IGNORE THEM!

(Sorry to raise my voice... )

-I may have missed the details, but wasn't the idea of introducing a squelch feature floated a while back? That way, everyone is their own moderator...If it is a software limitation, maybe it's time to consider an upgrade.

Randy has mentioned in several fora that a software upgrade is imminent.

Thanks essxjay. Unfortunately, at my company, an "imminent" software upgrade usually takes 2-3 years!
