Pharty in Phuket 2/21!!!!
Uncle 1k and I are discussing the possibility (probibility for me) of having dinner/fun in Phuket, Thailand on the day/evening of 2/21 and into the next day.
Business class tix BKK-HKT tix are $144...i.e., flights and hotel in HKT are less expensive then one night at the Oriental
If anyone's interested please post or email me!

GET OUT!!! That's great! Are staying with your brother?
Sadly, I wont be there long enough to scuba, even under the "new" (i.e. correct) PADI rules.
Uncle1k is making local arrangements in Phuket for us when he gets back to Bangkok from Trang and Krabie later this week. Got any good suggestions (on the beach, natch)????

All of Patong is within one block of the beach. I have never found a totally satisfactory hotel there. The Novotel is probably the nicest but there are much much cheaper ones that have considerably more local flavor. I have always ended up at the dirt-cheap Sand Inn, right at the intersection of Bang La Road and 200 year Road.
