Sacramento Friday night?

I have the good fortune of having a last minute trip scheduled to SMF and will be there Thurs night (but I don't get in until 8pm or such) until Sat AM. Not sure where I'm staying yet - my prospective client recommended a $40/night hotel near them called Homestead something or other with no restaurant (and thus no room service :eek where I most definitely will NOT be staying, but I'm assuming there's a Hilton somewhere close by... I think I'll be in the vicinity of 80 and 5.. anyone looking for a dinner companion Fri night?

You might want to see if it's possible to get an earlier flight into Sacramento Thursday or hope real hard for a warming trend.

Low fog in the Sacramento Valley has made the ceiling too low for landings at Sacramento after about 7 p.m. the last couple of nights. Planes have been diverting to RNO and OAK. Both are only about 90 minutes from Sacramento, but a drive in low, dense fog would not be pleasant.

That's just great and entirely consistent with my last week - why am I not surprised? Thanks for the heads up - I'll see what I can arrange!

svpii,

Ditto on the Thursday arrival and the fog. Past 7PM I usually have a hard time seeing out my windshield around here!

If you're going to be here on Thursday night, would love to get together for dinner and maybe paint the town red afterwards. I'm staying at the Hilton at Arden West ($139/night). There're also Hilton Garden Inns around, for $139/night (the one in Natomas) and $114/night (in Roseville, if you're going to be out that way)

E-mail me if you're interested (I'm driving back to the SF Bay Area on Friday evening though, so won't be able to meet you on Friday)

Thx
Jamester
