Starting Wednesday, November 9th thru at least Monday, November 13th I will be disappearing for awhile.

Before I go on THIS IS NOT BECAUSE OF SOMETHING ON FLYERTALK OR SOMEONE ATTACKING ME. THANKFULLY I HAVE NOT BEEN ATTACKED FOR AWHILE!

AND I PROMISED I WILL NOT LEAVE THIS BOARD UNLESS RANDY REQUESTS THAT I DO.

I am also telling you all of this because a few times I was off the boards some of you were worried something was wrong. That means more to me than any comped United 1K status or all the miles and the money in the world!

I try to take a personal trip alone at least once a year, to take time to reflect, think about the people in my life, where I've been, where I am going and what changes I need to make.

And, sorry folks I am NOT going to DUSSELDORF! I have reasons for not going I won't bother to explain here. There will be other Flyertalk parties and I suspect I will be Switzerland bound next fall.

I will see some of you Thursday at Parsippany, some this weekend in San Antonio, and some of you on LIVE CHAT.

Janejet: I thought that's what community and trip report forums were all about (talking about going places then describing what happened on the way, respectively)

In fact I EXPECT that FTs will post THREE times: one time for the Itinerary Forum in case you cross paths with others, one in community asking others for a get-together and one in trip reports to let us know how it went

MarkBach: I would really like to let you be acting Commander Catcop but I don't want to take you away from your studies. It's a LOT of work being a Commander. But come the summer you definitely will be considered.

And Dhammer, To be a Catcop you have to have at least one full dinner with the catcop's boss. I suspect you will be doing it soon enough.

SO I have to ask a good friend of mine to take up the badge... one of the people I trust in the world.
