I have 39 CONFIRMED participants as of now.
22 arriving Friday, 11 on Saturday. 6 with no arrival / departure info yet.
15 will stay at the Nikko, 7 at the Hilton, 4 at the Renaissance, 2 at the Steigenberger. 15 without any hotel info yet. (Some are switching from the Nikko to Hilton and Steigenberger for the 2nd nt)
16 still counted as POSSIBLE.
With just 4 weeks left it would be very helpful on planning for Rudi, Mizu and myself, if
the possibles could get decided and
the confirmed would provide their arr./dep/hotel data

Bernie:
I posted previously that I might be able to make it. I have now been able to arrange it so I will be at my office in Aachen the last of the week before and have to be in Frankfurt the following week. So I plan to drive up to Dsseldorf on Friday evening. I have made reservations at the Courtyard Marriott.
I look to being with all of you.

The good news is that my schedue is finally clearing up.
The bad news is that there appears almost no way for me to be in Germany for Fasching onset.
Have one for me.

O.M.G.
DUS will never be the same again if you make it along Gaucho! Please feel free to liberate a few bottles of Dom from those United First upgrade 1K SYS flights we tipped you about yesterday, and bring them along to share. A carton should be OK for the Saturday night dinner toast, for starters.

Glen-- Im pretty much the quiet type, so I doubt meine wenigkeit could do anything to change a city like DUS.
Papst-- I see you are arriving in DUS on Friday 10th. Im planning on flying CGK-SIN-ZRH (on SQ arriving at 0600 on the 10th), my idea is to spend the day in ZRH and then head on (if possible on the same flight with you) to DUS.

Agreed, Bernie.
40 or 50 rather thirsty FlyerTalkers WILL make a decent dent on the Duesseldorf "Altbier" inventory though!

gaucho100k Gisela and I are booked on LH 5517 ZRH-DUS 20:00-21:30
that same day, in the morning, Gisela will just come back from JFK (via FRA) on LH 401 JFK-FRA (leaving on nov-9) and then LH 3684 FRA-ZRH 06:40-07:35.

By coincidence, OAG Frequent Flyer mag has a couple of articles on Dusseldorf in their online issue this month at:

I didn't see this posted previously. Please forgive me if I missed it.
