Catman Sep 29, 2000 6:23 am

From the looks of things, mid-late march weekends have the lead. But I am hoping to finalize a date by November, so I can focus on the Holiday season (and to be selfish, many many parties for my birthday -- which you all know when it is.)

The only definite event is the Saturday night dinner. Sunday brunch depends on interest, Friday night welcoem dinner the same.

The rest of the time you are all on your own at this point. I may be up to sightseeing but I may need half a day to recover from each party! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Thanks for your flexability.

rfrost Sep 29, 2000 11:35 am

I'd really like to come and meet some other FTers if work/travel schedule permits; first weekend is not good for me, but everything else looks possible as of now.

(Posting the following by order of Catman who is away on his "secret" trip)

Thanks to my BIG BRUDDAH PremEx for creating some GREAT graphics, making me the owner of my own fast food chain, and hosting my web site..I'm happy to announce.....

The Official Catman Do Trois Web Site!!

Where, besides here on Flyertalk, you will be able to find all the LATEST details on the event. Still working on dates but I should be announcing something soon. Thank you all for your posts on suggested dates and please keep 'em coming. I'm hoping to have the even a bigger turnout than last year!! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Very impressive site!

Excellent graphics!

But no "McBlanchards"? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif (Note the fine whiskers - absolutely purrfect! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif)

Count me in please! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

RichG Sep 29, 2000 9:29 pm

I was soooooooo looking forward to joining Yaz & Eddie for a fish sandwich at McDonalds! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Rudi Sep 30, 2000 12:36 am

favorite date 1): March 16-18th
alternate favorite date 2): March 23-25th

(low season for airline-fares from Europe stops at the end of march)

dg1 Sep 30, 2000 9:36 am

I'd like to attend but I'm probably too cheap http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif We'll see what Catman budgets for dinner http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif That said I vote for weekends in late March too. A little warmer, still cheap fares.

doc Sep 30, 2000 10:28 am

It's good, or at least "okay," to splurge occasionally dg1! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

BostonBoy Sep 30, 2000 12:48 pm

Since the dinner must be pre-paid, how far ahead are the reservations closed? I might not know until a month ahead if I can make it, but right now, all dates are open, as long as they don't fall on Passover ( I don't think they do).

And, PremEx, did you make that website? If so, I think you used hot Dog Express http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif. You whimp! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

PremEx: What a great site!

Catman: Please put me on your "confirmed" list. Any weekend in March will do.

TransWorldOne Sep 30, 2000 11:15 pm

1) March 30-April 1
2) April 20-22nd
3) April 27-29th

Late March/early April is best. I like the weather to be mild. Early/mid March can be too cold.

Catman Oct 2, 2000 3:36 am

OMNI RichG: Fish is the ONLY thing I can stomach at McDonalds. Eddie loves fish. Yaz is Seafood Intolerant and gets sick if he eats anything fishey!

Thanks for your suggestions everyone. I'm already so excited.

Cat-- be sure to add me to the list, pretty much any date should work out for me, this far ahead. So, add Burkey & guest.

CATMAN:

By dumb luck my wife and I will be in Manhattan over the weekend that includes Saturday, March 24, 2001. So, if that's the date that you settle on for the "trois", we'll be there.

By the way--Passover=April 8, 2001 and Easter=April 15, 2001.

I hope we have the opportunity to see you again and to meet a great group of FlyerTalkers.

Best wishes,

TravelDave

Catman,

I guess I should try to make the third Catman Do. First choice would be the May dates...hey I have thin blood. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Second choice would be 3/23-25 or 3/30-4/1.

I certainly plan to attend, and will try to be in better health than I was in Montréal http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif. Any weekend is fine by me, but do try and pick the weekend early enough that we can buy tickets when the winter (March) or spring (April) fare sales roll around!

I'll be planning theatre Saturday and Sunday afternoons - no idea what yet, but will post suggestions as the new season shapes up.

Jim_B Oct 6, 2000 7:58 pm

I will also try my best to attend again. Last year's do was a blast!

Punki Oct 6, 2000 9:21 pm

I sure hope you do Jim. It would be great to see you again. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

If you organize a do, we'll come see you!

raeban Oct 22, 2000 12:28 pm

I know we already confirmed...I'm just hoping I'm far enough along in my treatments (chemo, again, for those of you that don't know by now) that it won't matter if I miss one! I can't wait to see everyone again, just hope it's not as COLD as last year, I darn near froze! Mr. Limo, great to hear you will be there, looking forward to seeing you. Sam, you better be there, the World Trade Center...remember we were stranded at the bar! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Rudi Oct 22, 2000 12:57 pm

Raeban - I know a 'side-car-place' at the 21-clubn that will keep away all frost!

and my hugs will too!

Rudi Oct 22, 2000 12:57 pm

An unforgettable afternoon spent trashing 3Com over a liquid lunch (pint after glorious pint of Guiness on St. Paddy's Day)! Wasn't that the first time you'd seen snow, Rae?

Great to see your post!

doc Oct 24, 2000 10:57 am

Raeban- I did NOT know, but now that I do, I'll be thinking of you!

Al the VERY best to someone that surely does deserve it! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
