Thank You FT Chat
I don't want to get mushy, but I need to pass this along.
Yesterday, 9/30, I was notified that a dear friend has passed away. I was on the road, alone, and unable to make the funeral. Needless to say, I was a little down.
I had logged in from my hotel to find directions to a restaurant, and decided I would check out Chat. There were quite a few folks logged in, and I started chatting. No one there knew what was going on with me, and I didn't bring it up.
For a few minutes, I felt that I was among friends, and no longer alone. I was provided with a few minutes of happiness, thanks to Chat, and I felt better the rest of the evening.
So, thank you FlyerTalk for providing chat, and thanks to the following individuals for being logged on last night: svpii, Catman, Old Gold, kyklin, and kidpachenco.

AZ: Let me join the others in offering my condolences. Living overseas, there have been a couple of times in the past 7 years that I haven't been able to get back home when I wanted - be it for the good or the bad.
FT is a haven in more ways that one! I'm sure we will see you back in the Chat room!

Although I wasn't on this chat, may I also add my condolences.
A few weeks ago I was also "chatting" from the YUL lounge. I was really down as whilst I was in New York & Montreal someone had tried to break into my house whilst my wife was alone in the UK. The support from the FF's was genuine and appreciated - you know who you are!
