NYC 8/28 to 9/1
I'll be in NY (midtown) from Monday, August 28 through Friday, September 1 and was wondering whether anyone wanted to hook up for dinner? CATMAN and I are planning to get together on Friday but the remainder of the week is OK too.

My schedule is fairly flexible but Boomer can make only Tuesday or Wednesday so we will shoot for one of those dates.
Restaurant/venue is still open: Steak, Italian, Indian, Japanese, other?
Anyone else think that they might be able to join the party?

Then Wednesday it is!
Still open to suggestions regarding the place. Some possibilities include an Indian place on 44th near 2nd that is one of the few restaurants in the country still affiliated in the Mileage Plus Dining Program. The Palm (you want to try to get here EARLY) is a couple of blocks further up on 2nd and Il Pescatore is an informal Italian restaurant that produces some decent seafood a couple of blocks further up.
By the way CATMAN, are we still on for NEXT Friday?

LarryU: I will send you an e-mail about next week. Wednesday is best... Maybe do Il Pescadore if you want.
I would pick a place a.s.a.p. since from experience that last week before Labor Day weekend tends to get very busy.

OK, let's shoot for Pescatore. For those of you not familiar, it is a moderately priced restaurant serving Italian and sea food. I have been there many times and can vouch for their whole striped bass and osso bucco. 
They are located at 955 Second Avenue between 50th and 51st, on the West side of the street (phone 212-980-6978 or 212-752-7151). One oddity is that it is actually two restaurants glued together by a common kitchen. For no particular reason, let's shoot for the one on the left, as you're facing it from the street.
Does a 7:00 reservation on Wednesday sound OK with everyone?

It looks like there will be one more joining the fun; my friend Bill Bianculli would like to join us. He tried to connect at the Parsippany shindig but couldn't make it. CATMAN, could you give Pescatore a call and change the reservation to 5?
