Which loyalty program & award is hardest /easiest to book?
Ok, with glee we've reminicsed about R "all time favorite promotions" - and we've read about some really great trips. But I was wondering, which program and which award is hardest/easiest to cash in? For the hardest, how much time and effort was required? Keep it short and simple, so I can tally the results. List only the top three. For example,
Hardest (H)
1.XX Airlines - Concord Class Award to timbucktoo - my secretary called daily on it for a year.
2.YY Hotel - 2 free nites domestic, reduced level award, got it after a month of daily calls using "rapid redial".
3.ZZ Credit Card Co - Panama Canal Cruise -the Captain's Stateroom Award - never could book it.
Easiest(E)
1.XX Air - 50,000 - no capacity control award - domestic - 20 second fon call.
2.WW Air - 35,000 - Europe - 4 min fon call.
3.QQ Hotel - 5 nite reduced level award - Sri
Lanka - Loyalty Co. called me to see when I wanted to book.
Also, did status have any added effect?

In my experience, and I am a Platinum with Hyatt, I've only once, in 5 years, been able to redeem ANY hotel rewards with Hyatt, and I try between 2-3 times a year.
How's that for horrible luck, and we're not just talking about lux resorts (6 free nights/6 free nights in a Hyatt suite), I'm also referring to one to two day stays with this hotel chain (1/2 free weekend night(s))
Hilton, where I am a Diamond member is by far the easiest for me.
