Very Impromptu FT Get Together

A funny thing happened on our way to Paris. Due to schedule changes we got rerouted through Denver and then due to weather problems we got stuck in Denver. Denver is defintely not Paris so we quickly went to work to find a new way to get out of there. The first flight we found where we were guaranteed upgrades was through LAX.

Prior to jumping on the plane to LAX I emailed a few FT friends to see if anyone was available for dinner. Sure enough when we arrived at LAX we had voice mail from two of the most favorite and famous FlyerTalkers, PremEx and Quiet Lion. PremEx was on his way home from Phoenix and Quiet Lion was on his way to Bangkok. Perfect!!!

UAL was even good enough to put us up at the hotel of our choice, The Hilton at LAX so we got an extra stay and are one day closer to Diamond level. We met up at the Hilton and jumped on the airport shuttle to have dinner at Encounters which had been in part designed by none other than our esteemed companion PremEx.

We had a very pleasant dinner to which UAL contributed $80.00 in meal vouchers. Not a bad deal.

LA isn't Paris either, but it is sure wonderful to have FlyerTalker friends around the world to turn unhappy travel experiences into parties.

Thanks guys!

Sometimes, the best things in life are imprompteu!

I'm glad Punki and Joe did not have to be alone in L-A as their Paris trip was delayed.

And I've been to Encounters and whomever helped designed it is a genius! I want him to redeaux my apartment in Feline!
