Maybe next time your post could be a BIT more descriptive to get some better responses.
Anyways...where in Miami will you be and what type of food do you want? My #1 vote hands down would be Joe's Stone Crabs on South Beach, a restaurant icon in the area and you will NOT be dissapointed whatever seafood fare you choose.

I have to agree with E and arturo, Joe's is a great restaurant.
Also:
- Shorty's on US 1 near Kendall: great barbecue and a real South Florida tradition
- Rascal House on the north side of Miami Beach near Sunny Isles Causeway: terrific deli food
All three of these places have been around forever and are local institutions. None of them fall into the "fine dining" category, but they all have great food.

Right, Joe's Stone Crab. If you do not mind waiting 2 hours outside...
Try Yuca in Coral Gables for contemporary southwest cuisine. Really nice place. Or Little Cuba is full of wonderful joints. Friendly, helpful people.

Joe's Stone Crabs = great but long waits
Shorty's Barbeque = very good
Nemo's (Miami Beach) = classic South Beach
The Forge = $$$ but great steaks, Miami tradition, great people watching
Hy Vong = the BEST Vietnamese I've ever had (8th Ave)
