The New "House of Miles"
I happened to be in Colorado Springs today, and decided to take advantage of Randy's invitation at the PiP to stop by to see the House of Miles and the Webflyer operation.
Awkward timing - it was moving day and the place was in controlled chaos with disassembly and packing (under the careful supervision of the incomparable Janet) taking place at one location, while unpacking and reassembly was underway at the other. Randy was in a hurry to drop a business associate off at the airport, so Janet showed us (a law school classmate of mine lives in Colorado Springs, and had taken me out to see Randy) around the "old" place. When Randy returned, he invited us to see the new site, and we readily accepted.
It is quite impressive. A beautiful location, with a park (and basketball court) in the back, a growing apple orchard on the side, and a spacious, ergonomic work environment inside. Lots of "extras" for the staff. Looks like a fun place to work.
We thanked Randy for taking the time out from his busy schedule to show us around, then left him looking after more of the relocation. The only sad part was that we missed seeing Snowgal, Reward Planner and Flygirl, who were elsewhere.
I hope they all have at least a hint left of their PiP suntans.
