I just called UA...flight will arrive at 8:38pm, Gate 9.

Jackie & I are meeting TropicalFlyer at Sam Choy's for dinner, then we will proceed to the airport to meet the 'Wild Bunch'.

shadow: Quiz question:

What recurring villainous character on "Hawaii 5-0" was named after a large and well-known restaurant in Honolulu?

I think they just needed a little extra time to load up that extra palate of gin for the "upstairs" crowd on that 747.

shadow: CORRECT!

Steve McGarrett's archenemy Wo Fat (played by Keigh Diegh) appeared in 11 "Hawaii 5-0" episodes (the show ran 12 seasons). The name was a joke played on the audience by the producer. The Wo Fat restaurant is supposed to be the oldest Chinese restaurant in Honolulu.

Next question (if you want to keep playing):

Where was Jack Lord born?

RichG,

I'm sorry to have to do this, but as a member of the Acting Commander Catcop Committee, I will have to ask you to cease and desist this line of questions (that is, unless the dear departed Mr. Lord was on UA 57 last evening ).

As Bartles and Jaymes once said, "Thank you for your support."

Yes, RichG, as a member of the Catcop Committee, this discussion should not take place here under the UA PiP Express thread.

Now if there were a thread for Hawaii bound actors from, shall we say, Brooklyn, NY... well that's another story.

Howdy from Waikiki!

I am sure that someone will eventually write a trip report about the PiP Express. It was one of the best flights I have ever experienced. Wild and crazy bunch. Our flight attendant, Joyce C., probably needed some EtOH herself after the flight. More details later. One thing I can tell yall though, we did use up all the EtOH in F and C. One unnamed FTalker had to hassle a flight attendant in coach for more Jack Daniels (the same unnamed FTalker passed out towards the end of the flight--- we have fun pictures to post soon, with drool and all).

My money's on AuH20! (I apologize in advance if I'm wrong, but after some of the conversations at the Seattle get-together, it's surely a good guess.)

Ok, a report (sorry, no pictures yet) can be found by following the Daily Reports link at Official Party In Paradise Web Site.

It was a once-in-a-lifetime flight! What a total blast! Perfect. Read all about it!

It was auh2o. Passed out but then came back strong and was up drinking until 5:30 AM. The HHV had to escort him to his room.

We are now attempting to hook him up with FlyerTalk employees.!
