Punki is coming to town. So is SCL Gal and her husband. SO we thought of putting together a fine Flyertalk get together to welcome SCL Gal and husband to the U-S and show them and everyone some fine NYC hospitality.

PUNKI can better fill you in on details.

There may even be surprise guest appearances by the Cat's bestest friends YAZ and EDDIE (provided the restaurants grant an exemption)

So come on everybody! Come to NYC if only to welcome SCL Gal (and help ME in my "final exam" on hosting duties before going on to the PIP!)

As long as I don't have call that weekend, I'll be coming up to The City.

Count me in. I've already met the lovely SCLGal and the equally lovely Burkey. It's about time to meet the Catman (& Co). I'll bring the lint brush.

Rats, I'll be in NY,NY (the town so nice they named it twice...) the following weekend (oct. 29,30)... maybe next time.

This might be a good weekend for me to visit NYC. The only thing would be a Paris trip to visit someone very special... but that should be earlier in October. In any case, if I do go, I'll probably drive and also stop by Ellenville to do some flying (hang gliding, that is).

Geo, I'm e-mailing you to say I should be in town that weekend as well (trying to limit travel to rest for the PIP and Vegas!)

Anyway, I hope to see all of U soon (especially consuela again! There's a sale on women's shoes at Nordstroms!)

Catman, you know I will be there with bells on. Don't know for sure if this will be a business trip with an associate or a work/play trip with Joe. Looks more like the former at the moment as October is a crazy time for us.

Either way, it looks like work for me on Friday and Monday and some Play Time in Manhattan on Saturday and Sunday. YEAH! I was beginning to have Big Apple withdrawal.

We'll be at our place on 7th and 52nd so anything, midtown, downtown or uptown is cool with us. Happy, happy, Joy, joy. I get to go to NYC! Hope there are lots of other FlyerTalkers there that we can help celebrate the greatest City in the World!

Geo1004- Looks like you'll either be around or possibly just leaving before the famous Halloween Parade. Plan to see it or plan around it if you want to avoid it or if your heading out that evening to the airport or something. It' a real traffic nightmare!

Is there a tentative itinerary/plan for this NYC get together yet? I'll almost certainly be around, at least for one or two of these days.

I will be there on the 22nd, I am in midtown already so just let me know where we want to meet

doc: When is the Halloween parade? I love a parade but not when I'm on my way to LGA!!! I think I'm departing about noon on the 30th of October. Will I run into lions & tigers & bears & witches & ghosts???

At this parade you'll see EVERYTHING, but I think you'll miss it since it's on always/usually on Halloween, the 31st. I guess that's Sunday this year. Maybe you'll catch it next year!

Geo1004, the Halloween Parade is on Oct31, which is a sunday so you should be clear out of town by then.

I will be in town that weekend for a conference and hope to hook up with a few of you, at least for drink on Friday evening.

I'll know my on-call schedule on Monday, and I anticipate doing any necessary switches to that I can come up that weekend. May even bring a guest along... home grown NY'er herself.
