Lonely in Seattle

Punki and anyone else who lives in Seattle, I will be flying in on Friday, August 6th and was wondering if anyone would like to meet for a drink and possibly dinner? I arrive on Horizon flight 2137 around 4:00pm from Bellingham and will be staying at the Sea Tac Holiday Inn.

Thanks for the invite Newself. On Friday, August 6, I am in ElPaso in the early AM, then fly to Albuquerque to meet with one of my salespeople and then return to Seattle via Denver. I am not sure what time I will hit SeaTac, but will check it out and let you know.

It actually might work out pretty well to meet at SeaTac because I know my son is working a job in Portland that day, returning in the evening and I was going to pick him up at the airport. At the very least I'll spring for free drinks at the NWA World Club.

Newself,

Regretfully, I will not be able to meet up with you. I will be in town but have other obligations for that day.

Sorry.

Punki,

I have no plans for that Friday night so I can meet you at SeaTac at whatever time. I can use my CO Presidents Club to get into the NW WorldPerks club so we can "buy" each other free drinks! Just let me know what time is convienent for you.

Jamiel,

Let me know if your going to be around also and we can set something up.

Newself and Jamiel,

I get back to SEA at 4:30 and then have to run back to my office for a bit. As I have no way of knowing what time I will actually have to pick up my son, why don't we just plan to meet in the World Club about 6:30 p.m. Will that work?

Punki & Jamiel,

I will be there to meet with you. I get in to SEA around 4p so I can go the hotel, stash my clubs, and see you two at the NW WorldClub around 6:30p. Looking forward to the meeting.

After getting up WAY TOO EARLY in ElPaso yesterday and flying ELP/ALB/DEN/SEA, I finally met up with jamiel, newself and DTTB (you'll meet her) in the Seatac World Club about 6:30 pm. We bought each other a few "free" drinks, told each other deep dark secrets and swapped a few lies and flight coupons. (Pictures to follow.)

The best news is that I think we talked newself and DTTB into joining us for the Seattle Get Together Weekend. Yeah!! Unfortunately, jamiel is going to be someplace else. This is starting to look like a good party coming together.

DTTB had another date and, sadly, I was way too tired to even think about going out so at about 9:30 I went home and crashed. zzzzzzzzzzzzz I don't know what the guys did. I'm sure they will report.

It is a a lot of fun to start meeting more and more of you as time goes by. Definitely enhances the travel experience. If anyone is ever at the Seattle airport, give me a ring, my office is only 10 minutes away and, if I'm in town, I'd love to meet you.

What a nice evening it was in Seattle! I am no longer lonely in Seattle after meeting the ever lovely Punki, the equally lovely DTTB, and the big J, Jamiel.

The drinks were cheap, the conversations rewarding, and the new friendships hopefully everlasting! Count me in for the Seattle meeting because I get to see two of Seattle's best again!

Punki brought a camera so the evidence will be on NJDavid's site shortly. If any of you ever get a chance to sit down with Punki, DTTB, and/or Jamiel, by all means don't past it up. My only complaint with my weekend in Seattle was that I had to come home.

ps: I did get to have dinner at the Metropoliton Grill again and us usual, it was great. Had a great bottle of Stags Leap Petite Syrah from Napa Valley and got to see Derek Jeter of the Yankees walk in while we were waiting for the car.

As the 3rd (and tardiest-heck-I was the furthest from home) to post it was a nice time--only problem was sorting out who was whose guest inthe WorldClub.

A very enjoyable quartet, if I do say so myself!

Here goes, last but not because I lived the farthest from the Seattle Airport.(I live exactly 1.3 miles to the front door.) I must post something just because I was finally able to get a user name....not DTTB which is who I really am....but at least one that I can post with. Being a NEWBIE, it has taken some time to get use to the site, but I must say...being talked into meeting Newself and Jamiel in Seattle was a delightlful time well spent!!!! Hope to be able to meet many more of you webflyers at the Seattle get together!!!
