Primer for Newbies

Wouldn't a tutorial be a good idea for us newbies so we wouldn't have to take board space with questions like the following:

"How can I get a listing of my own posts?"

That's not just an example...I would like an answer if someone can help. I don't find a "HELP" link so I have to ask.

(I'm not an egotist...I can't find where I posted something and am a little curious if I only dreamed it.)

I can get a list of all postings by others...just not my own.

Thanks, all!!

Chuck

Thank you but that too returns 0 for 0.

(Maybe I'm dreaming this whole scenario)

But, why then can I successfully find all the posts by others through both their profile and through the standard search function?

Also, searching for keywords seems to be OK now although it was 'nutty' a couple weeks ago.

How do we contact the webmaster?

I'm looking into the search feature trouble.

I like the idea of a primer of some kind--helping people with where to post (NJDavid's post on the subject being the recognized standard), how best to navigate, etc.. Maybe in the first TalkMail?

I'll post about the search feature when i know more. Thanks.

I guess I can't qualify as an official newbie anymore, but I do have a question. How do you make copy BOLD in a reply?

Punki -- it's a ubb code:

use a [

Add a "b" (no quotes)

then ]

Write your text. At the end of the part you want to bold, repeat the above only adding a "/" (no quotes) prior to the "b"...

Nice to know that even when you're 110, you're still learning! (*&%$^+ brats)

C. NEil: this is officially a "webmasterless" board. We webmaster by committee (on our best days).

C. Neil,

I tried a search for your username and got 0 of 0 also. I did a search on my user name and got 27. I have posted more than 27. Not sure what is going on but hopefully Brian at Webflyer will find something.

(snort......clearthroat)...what....huh? Did someone mention my name....oh, hi folks...pretending to be working as massive doses of Tylenol cold keep me in a "sleep with eyes open" state. Kids are great flu magnets....

OK...back to "work".......
