The Cat off to LAS VEGAS!!!

Have fun this weekend because I hope to be!

The cat is bringing his loveable disposition and smile to LOST WAGES where he and his very good Buddy and Bruddar MileCrazy hope to get some $$$ beofre the casinos find out. This is trip IS REALLY REALLY NEEDED And I thank MileCrazy for suggesting it.

So in the cat's absense... I need an acting CMDR CATCOP.

Well I think I need to nominate one of the newer members... and if you are NOT busy this weekend... WINGLESS! how about it?

The basic rule is keeping the boards free of crazy posts and sheep!

You can get some assistance from PremEx, I think he was an acting CMDR CATCOP BEFORE.

If you can't, then I think It's BlondeBomber's turn.

SO congratulations, wingless and thanks!

And have a MEOWY WEEKEND! (If I win Megabucks I may post it here!)

I have been away too. (Got stung about 10 times by large white-faced hornets but other than that and two flat tires, I had a great time in my flightless summer).

Now everyone keep in line or I will report you to the Commander.

OK, CATMAN:
Remember: Only play games you understand.
In Roulette, bet all combinations of all 36 numbers - you can only lose.
In Blackjack, do what the dealer has to do - except when he/she/it has to hit - stand on 17, hit 16. If he/she/it has to hit, stand on 16 or anything less.
On slot machines, pray.
Given that advice, you'll probably come home a big winner, while my next trip out there will probably result in big losses.
Most important thing in that town: Have Fun!

OMNI for philforest - In blackjack the correct basic strategy is to hit on 12 versus dealer 2 or 3. Don't always rely on the strategy cards given by the casinos, there are inaccuracies in those. Also do not rely on blackjack dealers for sound advice.

pgupta011 is correct! I used to be a "professional" card counter when I was a student. Even better advice- learn to count or do not play! Buy casino stocks instead! And if you must, play pass while your friend plays don't pass, play red while your friend plays green (avoid 0 and 00 games!) - and just drink for free and always remember to tip your cocktail waitresses and dealers while you enjoy the atmosphere without going broke! NB. Baccarat is also a good choice!

First: Thank you BlondeBomber for being the acting Commander. Wingless, maybe in September when I go to Toronto.

Postscript to the Vegas blast of the century! MileCrazy and I both cleaned up and had a wonderful time. I thank you, M-C for letting me come along and letting YOU handle that part of the trip report!
