Dinner in Denver
dgolds is going to be in Denver for a week of work the first week of August. [I'm here for weeks of work all the time
] We're talking about picking one of those weekday nights for dinner. Any other of you voyagers passing through that week? In a pinch, I could be free any night, but if possible would prefer to avoid Wedsnesday, since I have a class.

Count me in for either Thursday or Friday (Aug. 5-6?). No preference. Come to think of it, maybe I can convince some of the other "webflyer" boys and girls to join us. We're an hour south of Denver. A Friday could be fun!

I actually fly though Denver, connecting, both 8/4 and 8/6 but I can't remember the times and can't check.
I am currently stuck at the RCC at Ohare. Thunderstorms. Fun, Fun, Fun. They are beginning to talk about getting out TOMORROW!! Yikes. The brilliant and wonderful AnnaS called me on my cell phone and gave me the local access # to Netcom. She is sooooo smart.

Thursday would work for me, but not Friday - I'm booked out on a 6 PM 777.
(Unless UA lets PremExes make changes on non-refundable tix - does anyone know the program rule?)
Just to let you guys know - there's a chance my business may wrap up early, in which case I might leave town early.

It's sounding like Thursday 8/5 is the day.
Bryan, trying to get up to Denver around dinner time slams you into the tail end of the Tech Center Traffic Disaster on I-25, so it may take a bit longer than an hour
Perhaps 7:30 or 8:00 would be a good time for dinner?
dgolds:UA allows changes on non-refundable tickets for a $75.00 fee. Check with one of the UA experts such as PremEx, Rudi or Matt Wald for details.

After a nine month project in Denver, I really should know the local restaurants better, but I do not. I would suggest "Pacific Star" downtown. Sort of fusion cuisine. Near 17th and Lawrence but I can't recall the exact location.
I liked both the food and the atmosphere.
Edit: I had the name of the restaurant wrong. Sorry about that.

UA allows PremEx to change flights on the same day within the same fare class for free. I have saved much time and trouble thanks to this little known, apparently unpublished perk.

I have been following FlyerTalk for a while, but didn't actually put my two cents in until recently. And it would be nice to see a few faces behind the handles
. Is this for anyone? If yes, where are you meeting (did I miss that?)

It's open to anyone
We haven't picked a place yet, so you haven't missed it.
All
Since it sounds like several folk may come up from Springs in the south and dgolds will be in the Tech Center area, perhaps we should pick someplace in that area. Any particularly strong dislikes or desires on type of food?

QuantumLeap: The Italian places in Cherry Creek posted on the other thread sounded interesting.
I'm always up for India's.
Would definitely be willing to drive downtown, no problem there.
Or do you know of a fun place with some local color?

Looks like I'm gonna have to miss this one. TO BAD! It's a 4 hour drive from my desk. Ya'll will be just a spit & a hollar away (as we used to say in Texas). But like Catman said: take those snap shots and do some posting and we'll all be able to make it vicariously!
