Anyone else flying down to Rio?
I'll be in RIO from July 22-28. Any FT'ers visiting the Cariocas during the same time frame? If so, lets get together for a cool one or two and shoot the FT breeze. It'll be my first time in the land of samba and Carnivale, so if you have stories to tell I'll be all ears.

Rio was FABULOUS. Thanks to Rudi for his Diners Club limo tip (BTW, it now goes to the Rio Othon Palace which is more towards Copacabana's centre, but no more Diners lounge other than GIG). Thanks to Manfred for his fantastic apartment with the million dollar views! And thanks to Marcia for her friendly smile and helpful advice.
Sorry to have to say this, but I think RIO has supplanted Waikiki as my favourite holiday destination. I have a feeling I'll be back before long.
