Unfortunately I could not secure a restaurant reservation for 20 people on Saturday evening - so the plan is to go to the Barfuesser spontaneously (they don't accept reservations during Christmas Market, but have 500 seats) and wait for a table there - or split up in smaller groups. I'm very sad about that - but can't change.
I am getting hungry already.

Just saw the post about tram tickets. If there is still one available, I would like to have one. Looking forward to the event soon!
I just the saw registration and registered for the tram ticket.

f0zzyNUE, any suggestions on best train tickets to buy? Assuming we do the group activities and need RT for the airport? Just wondering if singles or some multi-pass would be better. Thanks.

When you buy a “Tageskarte” (day ticket) on Saturday it’s valid for the entire weekend.

I received an email from Air France this evening that our friends that control the French skies are planning a strike for Thursday, so we shall see if and how I make it to NUE... fingers crossed my little CDG-NUE flight survives the reduced flight schedule

I have made it as far as the correct continent.
Which is mildly surprising given snow in NY, a transit fail that stopped the JFK AirTrain, and a shuttle bus that almost didn't go due to a lack of mobility impaired assistance. A TAP cancellation has resulted in a possible Ryanair flight CPH-NUE ... the separate ticket connection is highly questionable so we shall see. If it fails, I'll just get a random *A award the next day. I am not fussed. I'll get there and likely before a good number of attendees.
Oh FT adventures.

Had a lovely one-night stay at Conrad Seoul on my way from Sydney. About to get on OZ to FRA, then the train, allegedly arriving NUE Hbf Wednesday ~7pm.

That sounds almost as straightforward as mine - two flights, a train ride and an overnight stay (not in that order) but I’m not going to get there until Thursday pm.

My journey from NYC to NUE started last Saturday and had me going first to BOS then to HKG and into HAN. Tomorrow I leave HAN for NUE via IST.
Not wanting to miss out any French strike fun, from NUE I head to Paris to meet up with my brother who also lives in NYC. Why schlep to the Upper East Side to see family when I'd rather go to Paris 😁
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

So I had my own convoluted trip, involving
snow, fog, two mechanicals, a crew timeout,
a severe miscatering and having my PVD-ORD go
south, but one seat opened up out of PVD and
one from EWR to the west coast. I got on the
SFO-MUC nonstop, and lili and I met here,
only her baggage didn't arrive despite having
EXP and BA priority tags on it, so I escorted
her back to the airport, where it turned out
they'd lied about her bag's whereabouts.
Instead of being in the office in MUC, where
they promised it would be, it was still in
London. So we spent the morning hanging
around waiting for it. The good news is I've
had my pork fix and can report that the
Airbrau Schweinshaxe is respectable, as is the
Christmas dark beer and the Schaufele is quite
good. By the time we got downtown it was too
dark for me to negotiate the Christkindlmarkt
at Marienplatz safely, so we're going there
tomorrow daytime. We're going to arrive in
Nuremberg midafternoon Friday and will see you
all then.
Tonight and next: Hampton Munich West,
Landsbergerstr. 114.

And Christmas beer at Airbrau.... very tempting although it would delay my arrival to Nuremberg on Friday.
