I'm really sorry I won't be able to see everyone this year; hopefully I'll be able to make it next year, but time will tell.
Hope to see you in Washington DC when I am there in June, as long as you haven't left by then.

I am 80% confirmed for dinner on Saturday night, but just waiting for the bosses from the west on their plans for next weekend, have a tentative booking at Hotel Laguna.

Definitely won't be attending dinner on Sunday night.

I'll try to keep up with the lodging as adjustments come in.

The main thing I'm missing is the to-be-announced mustering point for the zoo day trip.

I'm happy to provide edit access to the map if any of the organizers want it.

Have put a link to your very good map in post 3.
The Saturday trip may have 2 (or more) smaller buses. Pickup point/points will be based on numbers and where people are staying and will be advised later.
Still have 5 plat's to confirm activities.
We often get late upgraders & new pax for Oz Fest

Alright- I think we're pulling another audible... Flying into BNE and renting a car. Unless this sounds a bit crazy. Looks like its just shy of a 2 hour drive... and there is a magical place to pick up provisions on the way up.

Just need to secure those flights now. I did end up with QF615 BNE-MEL on the 29th for one pax. Wasn't able to add it to the second award.

The google map is very helpful as well. Thanks.

Thanks to @Itsalongwaydown for reminding me to register for the events on the weekend. Booked for Fri and Sat night dinners. Not going to Aust Zoo as we only went a couple of months ago. Heading back to BNE on Sun afternoon as well need to pick up our kids.

It is the only reason the Beckoa would ever travel any distance. He is visiting OZ due to the fact that there is a Costco to go to now. Everything else is just incidental......If there is more than one to visit you may never even see him. In all fairness, we did have a nice time touring the Costco HQ outside of Paris a couple of weeks ago where we bought several Kirkland Signature wines. They were actually quite good, especially the Malbec.

Ice chests, duffle bags and many other sorts of conveyances have been used to haul his purchases home. He will need to share the Aussie Pies with the Alaska crowd.

Anyone else on QF1578 SYD-MCY on THURSDAY?
So far I only see myself & krazykanuck. Exploring transport options, sharing would be nice. Anyone else on other flights arriving MCY Thursday 6pm-ish? Cheers.

If I don't hear anything by end of day Friday I'll be there, seeing as how I'm Australia bound on Monday.
Well... I haven't heard anything so I guess I'm headed south? West? Down under? Whatever. Anything you get out of this Houston heat.

Guess I should book a place to stay in Noosa Heads. Any of the Airbnb/condo folk have extra space they want to split? I was probably going to go the airbnb route.
